All 10 games shown in play state in September

State of Play in September showcased ten major games coming to PlayStation consoles, including a number of games exclusive to its platforms.

Here’s all that was shown during PlayStation State of Play for September:

God of War Ragnarok

We’ve seen a lot of footage from God of War Ragnarök, including plenty of boss fights.

More environments were shown, from towering mountains to snow-swept landscapes.

A new limited edition console is coming to the game, and it will be released on the same day as the game.

God of War Ragnarök launches as a PlayStation 5 exclusive on November 9, 2022.

Hogwarts Legacy

A new trailer for Hogwarts Legacy has been shown, including a new side mission.

The mission takes place in the village of Hogsmeade, and shows a new location for the game.

Named “The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop”, we see the protagonist trying to rid an abandoned store of ghouls.

The mission will be a PlayStation exclusive when the game is released on PS5 on February 10, 2023.

Tekken 8

After a new Tekken game was announced in the final of the recent esports tournament, we now know what the game is.

The next game in the Tekken series, Tekken 8, received its first trailer with gameplay.

Only two characters were shown, and they are recreations of favorites from the series.

A release date has not been announced, but the gameplay has introduced new animations for the fighting game.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge Enhanced Edition

Coming to the future PlayStation VR2Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge Enhanced Edition is in development by Lucas Films studio.

It is a first-person adventure game set in the Star Wars universe.

Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge didn’t feature many returning characters, but C3P0 and R2D2 have been confirmed to be in the game.

PSVR2 was launched in early 2023, and this game was also confirmed to be released that year.

Excellent Blade

Stellar Blade, formerly Project Red, has received a new trailer that includes both cinema and gameplay.

Set in a futuristic world, our protagonist eliminates monsters using high-tech weapons.

It’s an action adventure title, apparently from a new IP from South Korea.

Stellar Blade is a PS5 exclusive title announced for the year 2023.

ronin’s rise

A new game from Team Ninja called Rise of Ronin has been announced.

Set in feudal Japan, the protagonist is a ninja who challenges opposing clans.

In the trailer, we saw a number of the game’s cinematics, and a small amount of gameplay.

Rise of Ronin is another PS5 exclusive coming in 2024.

Syndicate

Apart from Tekken, Bandai Namco has another game running for PlayStation, called Synduality.

It is a futuristic third-person shooter, and the trailer features in and out of mechanisms gameplay.

Although not from the same studio, Synduality showed work similar to a mix between Nier: Automata and Titanfall 2.

Synduality will launch on a number of platforms, including PS5, in 2023.

pacific drive

The cinema and gameplay of a new game called Pacific Drive has been shown.

Much of the action takes place in first person, from a vantage point similar to the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters.

While driving, you will encounter enemies that look like demons and ghosts and eliminate them.

Pacific Drive will be released for PS5 in 2023.

demio

Another game released for PSVR2, Demeo was announced at the State of Play show.

Based on a card-based backgammon game, the trailer featured battle animation and gameplay.

The player used the cards on their pieces to launch attacks against the enemies.

Demeo will be released in 2023 once PSVR2 goes on sale.

Yakuza Like a Dragon: It was!

Formerly a Japanese PS3 exclusive, Yakuza Like a Dragon: Ishin has been completely revamped.

With the return of Kazuma Kiryu, the main series protagonist takes on the role of Japanese historical character Ryoma Sakamoto.

While the original game was an action-adventure game, the subtitle Like a Dragon hints that the new game could be an RPG.

Yakuza Like a Dragon: Ishin! It will be released for PS4 and PS5 in February 2023.
