Apple repeatedly visualizes a file iPhone 14 ProA “pill and hole punch” display cutout is rumored to design without the Dynamic Island, although this isn’t an option on the device.

An Apple Support document showing the rumored chapter design for Pills and Piercings.

In a new support document titled “Use the always-on display with iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro MaxPosted yesterday, Apple clearly shows two display segments of the device with usable display space in between and no Dynamic Island. This is at least the third time the design has appeared as spotted from official Apple sources.

Evidence for Apple’s use was explicit to design the rumored ‘pill and hole’ first spotted In the initial sketches that were posted on Apple’s website after the “Out of Time” event. Soon, Apple published the iPhone 14 Pro ‌ Developer Resources showing the screen cutouts alone, before properly reloading the resources to show Dynamic Island.

The recurring error is intriguing since there is currently no way to disable Dynamic Island and allow the content between two views to appear normally. The graphics are also amazing given that for a lot of rumors about the iPhone 14 Pro‌, the device was expected to look exactly like this. Rumors of the dynamic island And two width cutouts It appears as a single “pill”. Thanks to software improvements that came out just a week before the Apple event.

Fatal errors could indicate that Dynamic Island was intended as an optional feature or that it was a somewhat late decision in the development of ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌. It seems most likely that due to the isolated nature of Apple’s internal structure, staff responsible for web design, developer resources, and support documents were not aware of the dynamic island until just before the Apple event.

When information about Dynamic Island solidified, it was assumed that previous rumors claiming a design with two visible apertures to display were simply derived from a hardware leak, with the software still being severely shut down. Apple’s frequent illustration of the rumored design suggests that an initial understanding of how the screen openings might appear may be more formal than previously thought.
