Denon updates its entire line of 8K AV receivers

Denon updated a file AV . receiver With seven new models in the S-, X- and A-Series groups. Prices range from $399 for the entry-level AVR-S570BT and go up to $6,499 for the best 15.4-channel Denon AVR-A1H. All new receivers present 8K Compatibility, while some models also support an immersive experience Surround Sound Formats Such as Dolby Atmosand DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, and Auro 3D. Some models are available immediately, while others will be launched over the coming months and into 2023.

AVR-A1H: $6,499, Available Early 2023

Denon’s latest flagship is AVR-A1HPower of 15 channels designed and manufactured in Japan. It’s a giant 70-pound and packs 150 watts per channel, for a configuration of 9.4.6. A1H support will also support the ability to upgrade Dirac Live via a future software update.

As you might expect from a product of its caliber, you also get support for many other features, such as Apple AirPlay 2TuneIn, Spotify Connect, Pandora, SiriusXM (if you have a subscription), Denon HEOS platform for wireless multi-room audio and smart app control from your phone and Bluetooth.

On the input and output, you get seven HDMI 2.1 With HDCP 2.3, 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz. It can also pass through HDR, HLG, Dolby Visionand HDR10+ and dynamic HDR. In fact, the only HDMI 2.1 feature not on its list of capabilities is Quick Media Switching.

You get two 8K HDMI outputs, with ARC / eARC Supported on one of them, and a dedicated 4K output if you want to play a second region. In addition to regular headphone terminals compatible with the banana plug, you also have a choice of coaxial RCA or XLR connections for up to four amplifiers, which is a rarity in the world of home audio and video receivers, and something professional installers are likely to be happy to see.
