How to update Android TV?

Android TV device manufacturers release regular updates in order to increase their performance. But the auto update feature is not always working, and you need to do a manual update.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the main screen and select the gear icon (Settings).
  3. In the Settings window, scroll down to the support.
  4. Choose system update from the right section.

On TCL Android TV

How to update Android TV without internet connection?

If you don’t have an active internet connection to connect your TV or say your TV’s update feature is not showing up, you can also do a manual update. All you need is a USB flash drive, and you will be able to install updates.

  1. Take a USB drive and format it FAT32 or NTFS using your computer.

  11. If the TV does not turn on automatically from USB, you must change the TV source from any other mode to USB mode.
  12. Once the update is complete, the TV will restart, and the latest firmware version for the TV will be installed.
