Your iPhone just got a hands-on upgrade that makes typing so much easier.
Apple has added haptic feedback to the Apple keyboard, a much-needed feature that fans love.
This means that when you touch a letter when typing something on your iPhone, the screen responds with a gentle vibration.
This vibration is a small “click” that reaches the end of your finger to let you know that you’ve hit a letter.
It’s a bit like a more tactile version of the “click” that appears by default when typing on the Apple keyboard.
However, most people turn this sound off, and it is automatically muted when the iPhone is in silent mode.
Adding a touch keyboard might not look like much, but it makes typing more smooth and intuitive.
If you really master it, it can even allow you to type without even looking at your device.
The new feature is one of several introduced on Monday with the release of iOS 16The latest version of the iPhone operating system.
We have summarized some of the best iOS 16 addons at the bottom of the page.
