Moises Kaisedou’s recent comments suggest he would be open to leaving Brighton for Manchester United in the future.
The Ecuadorean midfielder signed with Al Nawras in February 2021 for £4.5 million.
It was reported that Man Utd was running to sign the player at this price, but chose not to move.
The Red Devils are kicking themselves out with Brighton now asking for at least ten times that amount with Eric ten Hag’s side, and he is one of many thought to be interested in signing the 20-year-old.
Liverpool have been closely linked to Caicedo and are expected to make some waves in the transfer market next summer with a new midfielder on the agenda.
Jude Bellingham appears to be the Reds’ number one target, but the Borussia Dortmund teenage player could potentially cost more than £100m.
Manchester United are said to be keeping an eye on Bellingham’s situation, as are Man City and Real Madrid.
Bellingham was linked with all four clubs in the summer window, but Dortmund have made it clear that he will not be sold in 2022.
And Brighton has issued a warning not to get involved when it comes to Caicedo, with Manchester United believed to be looking to move in the summer.
This could be something to watch in 2023 after Albion Graham Potter lost to Chelsea.
The Blues boss may be looking forward to a reunion with the young Ecuadorean international with N’Golo Kante whose contract expired in less than 12 months.
It is fair to say that the player’s performance in the Premier League has failed unnoticed.
Despite the huge amount of rumors in the summer transfer window, Brighton has yet to receive an official offer.
This was confirmed by Caicedo, who said he was “very happy” at Brighton but “would have thought about it a lot” if he had received an offer to leave in the summer.
“I saw rumors and things like that, but I was on my team,” Tell first.
“I didn’t want anything to take me away from my work, I let my agent handle everything. I was very calm, focused only on Brighton and didn’t know if there were other proposals.
“I was just working with my team to play good matches. If there was any suggestion I would have given it a lot of thought, but I am very happy here at Brighton and doing very well, he has really adapted to the team.
“Now I just want to be here, keep getting more minutes, play in the World Cup and then we’ll see what happens.”
Caicedo is a very ambitious person who sees no reason why the seagulls should not win the Premier League.
He said, “I’m a guy who doesn’t think negativity. I think if we all do our part, we can win the title.
“We know it won’t be easy because there are very difficult teams. We just have to work and focus on ourselves, not seeing others and just focus on ourselves.
“We will fight with any team in front of us.
“I love to win titles and my dream would be to win the Premier League: that’s why I came here, not just to compete but to win titles.
“I want to be the Ecuadorean who has won the most titles in his career. I am working hard for it and I want to achieve it.”
