England expects
What we hope…

4-1-4-1
Pickford – Just shade it

Chilwell – the best left-back in England
Dyer – filling the role of the head of meat Maguire
Tomori – the best central defender in England
Rhys James – world-class right-back

Rice – Because Phillips is now a reserve for Manchester City
Bellingham – Jude Bellingham’s era must begin sometime
Mount – Foden is better, but Mount does more

Sterling – Foden is better, but Sterling is doing business for England
Ken – Of course
Saka – bigger and better every day. Foden might still be better.

What we will get…

3-4-3
Pickford – Complete 48% at Euro 2020… Going forward seems to be the right way

Trippier – Right back with one foot, nosebleeds above the midline, bootlegger at left back because he can take free kicks
Maguire and Stones – Never let anyone down.
Walker – Speed exceeds brain farts
James – TAA won’t be it

The Rice/Phillips Double Defensive Axe – Where England’s Attacks Die…

Sterling – isolated because Trippier did not cross the midline
Kane – isolated due to number 10 or any attacking midfield
Saka – asked to double the team as an extra wing back

can’t wait.

…my favorite time of the year. Announcing the England squad. I’ll go over all the things that bother me the most. This is probably what annoys me the most about pets in football.

First, I’ll start with the people who are upset that Southgate is not choosing the model. Why the hell is it? You cannot build an international aspect if you are choosing the form. You should always have a similar group of players. If the player continues at his level for a long time, he will get Bowen at the end of last season. If they were out of their level for too long, Sancho and Rashford wouldn’t get in. Obviously, there are some caveats to this. Grealish wasn’t great but he can’t bring everyone down. Grealish has done well in the past and wouldn’t be a rookie anyway.

There is also a strange narrative that he does not pick players from smaller clubs. It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. Let’s go through it. Coady, Mings, Juehy, Rice, JWB, Phillips, Ings, Grealish, Watkins, Tony. All of these received calls and most of them were called on a regular basis.

Southgate has dropped players from a top team and will drop them if they do poorly, especially if they can’t produce for the country. Maguire may be on his last chance soon, but just remember that just a month ago he was a start. All this nonsense about “oh he picks players who can’t even start for their team”. So if he picked the team last month it would be fine because he was starting then? I don’t even rate Maguire but he served Southgate very well. He has been a regular fixture and a key player in both major tournament successes. Seeing the same for Shaw and that people can’t understand why he was chosen. it is easy. He’s been good to him in the past and we’d be poor left-back options. We won’t pretend Tyrik Mitchell is a better choice.

I can pretty much expect Southgate’s squad and I know it will be very different from what the average person would like.

Pickford
Walker Stones, Maguire Trippier / Shaw
Rice Bellingham / Mount Phillips
From Foden Ken Sterling

Southgate gets abused every chance people get, and yet he is the most successful manager in most people’s lives. In all honesty, the team is decent but they are not as good as some suggest. GK is not a top level player. The defense has some good players but very few of them are world class and maybe only right-back. The midfield is by no means world class. Rice and Mount are the best of them all, and they’re two players I value highly. Then you have Kane who is undoubtedly world class and many talented wingers. I think Southgate is probably playing the right way given the players he has. It has been proven to work so far. I swear people don’t remember how dirty England has always been. I feel if Southgate won the World Cup with the golden generation, people would say he should have won more.

kielman for england
Maximilian Kellmann is better than Harry Maguire in every aspect of football and in defense. This is nothing new either, it’s been two years now.

Southgate once again appeared as a slave man for the badge on the players shirt, rather than performances on the field.

The ridiculous season caused by the cancellation of football gave undue attention to Boehle and his remarks he made to the American audience in America in an attempt to draw parallels they might understand.

Add that to the English habit of deeply enjoying pretending to be offended by people from outside who don’t have the same perspective as the English, letting them beat up a foreigner without being called racist and you’ve got what we endured last week.

Of course, the All-Star game is meaningless for English football. We are a small country, and there is no room or appetite for geographic football competitions that are not based on a specific historical team or local area.

Liverpool and Manchester are competitors and not allies against London and Brighton.

The Charity Shields are moderately interested in putting rival clubs to the mark in pre-season, usually a new signing or two to get a real first look, and there is often a fluctuation between the two sides from the close of previous seasons.

None of that applies to the All-Star Game. No one cares.

It does not matter that there is no room in the list of matches, it is not important that players are signed with clubs that have no reason or intention to risk injuries to their players.

The All-Star Game is absolutely irrelevant because no one will ever care to watch it, show it on TV, or sponsor it.

Nothing will be generated in terms of income.

We all know this, so a Boehly win is somewhat unnecessary.

Man United in Moldova
The first 15 minutes were slow and clear that we lost match fitness with matches canceled, but then United dominated the match, controlled the pace, and were the better team for the remainder of the match.

It’s good for Sancho to score, especially after not choosing England when players who are not beginners enter their team. He showed his composure as he always does in front of goal and we hope he builds on more participation in the third final.

The defense was strong again. It’s crazy how most United fans from day one couldn’t see a defense without Maguire as he seemed unable to escape even after a terrible season. But a little over a month later, we found a great partnership in the experienced Varane and the young strong Martinez. They are for me so incapable of giving up that the only reason Maguire should come is if someone gets injured or it’s a cup match against a second-league team.

Hopefully Ronaldo’s penalty kick will get the blood pumping in order to have more emotions in the penalty area and look for more goals. Casemiro came and showed me why McTominay must pass with calmness, real defensive ability, good passing and can move the ball forward.

Overall, it’s a good result but it could have been better. Hopefully the next game will start some youngsters like Iqbal, Garanacho, McNeil or at least half of the football.

Move over, Sean Guwater
My favorite city player is Shaun Goater, for scoring goals off the ass, stealing Gary Neville, and being a totally nice guy with a dry sense of humor.

But I’m sorry Sean, if Haaland continues like this, there isn’t much hope for No. 1 to remain. What an absolute beast! After one month, I develop an unhealthy guy crush. Last night’s goal was ridiculous, Rio Ferdinand was right, and only he and Zlatan could score that one (okay, maybe his goal was dull).

He has reached a whole new level and I loved meeting him afterwards as he is obviously a nice guy to laugh at but also cocky. He didn’t see anything like it.

cheers

Surrender to the desire of all stars
I know the purest in me knows the All-Star Game is just plain wrong (the games are absolutely gone), but the heart wants what the heart wants.

Break it down by the selected shots in a draft.

PL Winner Captain vs. FA Cup Winner Captain. A throw to decide who gets to pick Haaland first.

All proceeds go to folk football (or cure world hunger).

It will be more than just a little fun.
Toxic

… 100m race. One player per club. The winner gets an All-Star game for his region. Simple people.

So, congratulations, Adama Traore: You are an all-star superstar.

I can’t be the only one who remembers the 1992 Rumbelows Sprint (No you are not – MC)with his playoffs revolving around empty lower league stadiums, and then a final at Wembley where John Williams of Swansea won.

11.49 for 100m on grass and shoes were good at the time, I wonder what the players can do now.

… Perhaps the worst thing about a North-South match is the inevitable hysteria, complaint and perceived injustice here and on the social media of choice when Liverpool players are selected with a grand plot to overburden and injure them.

It is closely followed by the inevitable hysteria, the grievances and perceived grievances here and on the social media of choice when not enough Liverpool players are selected with a grand conspiracy to be ignored.

How to save time and the dark arts
to respond to Time wastingAnd what about this:

Keep matches at 90 minutes, but if the ball isn’t in play for 60 minutes, just add whatever is needed in the overtime to make it add up to 60 minutes (so that 30 minutes guarantee “play” for each half).

So we still see the weird stuff that wastes time but we know we’re getting our money’s worth.

Thunder Stones * Stard
The stones were not particularly hit by “shot”. I’ve heard it all now. I’ll leave Jose to point out the non-existent high foot base. Otherwise, a very nice email, nut.

Thomas
Breda

… come on, that email from Jose is funny, surely this is just intentional phishing? He had several brain farts himself.

Shot stones did not hit hard? It was a rocket! Who knows what the goalkeeper was doing but the speed definitely surprised him.

There’s nothing in the rules that says you can’t put your feet up, that puts the opponent in danger which is the important part. Haaland’s feet weren’t even close to the defender, she was way past him. A simple look at YouTube will show that Nani put Arbeloa on his side when Jose claimed there was no one around??? He just makes things up.

Nice joke Half the field is empty as usual, why bother looking at the actual attendance numbers?

Can’t muster a shot? Yes, up to a point but then, did you know there are two goals and then more chances, but do shots only count before 70 minutes?

I wouldn’t normally rise to this nonsense, but I seriously couldn’t help it, I did a proper LOL after reading his mail. At least do a little research for the first guy!
