Snapchat is the latest popular app to roll out iOS 16 Lock Screen tools for iPhone users. One of the major changes with Apple iOS 16 launch is the choice Personalize your lock screen with widgets. Several companies have made their apps ready for iOS 16, and that list now includes Snapchat.

“Our new lock screen widgets keep conversations with your best friend right on the lock screen so you can start chats with a single tap,” the company said in a blog post. “With this new tool, you can save yourself swiping when you want to start Snapping, while keeping video chats using the Snapchat camera at your fingertips.”

You can add new widgets by tap and hold on the lock screen to bring up the edit menu, then select the “Customize” button. From this edit mode, you can then click or switch the row you want to add widgets to. Next, you need to scroll through the app options and select Snapchat. You can then scroll to see the available tools and select the ones you want to add. Once you’ve made your selection, you’ll need to close the Add Widgets panel and click Done to save changes.

The company says the new tools are now available or coming soon to users. If you don’t have access to the new tools, you should keep an eye out for a new app update.

Snapchat is among many other applications that are looking to earn a place on your lock screen.
