We used AI to redesign three big consoles – including this weird PS5 Pro

The current generation of gaming consoles is a few years old, and rumors about upgraded versions are on the horizon.

We’re not familiar with what these new models will look like, but we have a long list of things we’d like to see.

However, we lack the degree in product design to make our dreams come true.

That’s why we enlisted help from Crayona popular AI image generator to help our dreams become – sort of – real.

For all your fans, we’ve also included what we’d like to see change about the console and why.

It may not be pretty, but here are the next three consoles, as designed by artificial intelligence.

Nintendo stands out in the gaming market as having its own thing. It’s not really trying to compete with PlayStation or Xbox.

What we love about the Switch is the ability to go from the handheld device to the main console in a second, so we wanted to build on that.

Even the Switch Lite is too bulky to comfortably carry in your pocket, so we’ll make the base smaller, the size of a phone.

The other problem with the Switch is that the Joycon is not enough.

Aside from stick deflection – a common problem with consoles – it is small and difficult to use.

Based on the 3rd party console in Hori, we like a console that can turn into a professional console without the need for an extra grip.

Adjusting the shape will give a better grip and prevent the Joycon from getting lost in your hands.

We’ll also give them a proper dashboard, something we know Nintendo is trying to add to later versions.

The Switch’s obvious drawback is that it’s not nearly as powerful as its competitors, but it doesn’t need to be.

If you want a powerful portable device, Steam Deck is a great option, with a great selection of high-powered games.

Nintendo can stick to what it does best, and focus on a mobile device that goes back to the company’s roots.

Let’s take back something as bold and cool as Nintendo’s greatest console, the Game Boy Micro.

We want to keep the cool OLED screen, too. It’s hard to go back once you get one.

PlayStation 5 Pro

The PS5 needs some serious downscaling.

The PlayStation 5 is a healthy big boy that Sony is proud of, but it certainly isn’t without its flaws.

We want a much smaller PS5, and if we’re too greedy, it should be able to sit on the shelf easily.

The AI spat out this neat little box and gave us the feel of a remake of the PS One, which is one of the most stylish looking consoles out there.

We wanted to keep the drive, but we’re also giving people the one PlayStation feature they’ve wanted since the release of PS5 – proper backward compatibility.

Not only through subscription services like PS Plus, but also through full physical compatibility like the 60GB PS3 model.

Hopefully a smaller console means less noise as well, as the PS5 can get louder when you’re in a game.

The last thing we would like to change is the console.

We love the touchpad, which is great for typing, and we love the tactile feedback and interactive stimuli.

However, the PlayStation has a strange association with compatible thumbs that we will never understand.

Compensated as the Xbox Elite controller, the DualSense would be the best on the market.

Next Xbox Series

The Xbox has one of the most beautiful designs of this generation.

It was very difficult to get the AI to walk away from that muddy navy, so we apologize for that in advance.

However, choosing colors instead of the standard black and white would be a fun addition to the design.

The overall design of the smaller S Series is a big hit with gamers, especially how well it fits on any shelf.

The only problem that series consoles have is noise, so a larger, lower-powered fan will not only help with the console’s power consumption issues, but make it silent.

Despite loving the shape and size of the S, we’re talking funny dreams here, so we still want the drive and power of the X.

We’d prefer the power not come with the obvious downside that the console looks like a refrigerator.

You might also have noticed that we just shot the Elite controller, because this bad boy’s design and layout are really perfect.

But if we let PlayStation get its thumbs up, I think it’s okay to let Xbox steal PlayStation’s tactile triggers and adaptive stimuli.

While Xbox already has high backward compatibility with the games in its Game Pass library, can we also get them for free?

Perhaps this is asking too much.
