Weekly Poll: Motorola Edge 30 Ultra tempts you with a 200MP camera, Fusion and Neo want your attention too

s

vrvly, an hour agoYou actually get a low Bayer score and a large sensor size variance, not useful 2x nor 3x and beyond… moreIDK where you live but for me the Galaxy S21/S22 Ultra was priced at €1250 at launch and the Motorola priced at €900.
They are not in the same price category, even the Galaxy S22 was priced at 850 euros at launch.
The only reason you’d find the S21 Ultra cheaper is because it’s older, and being in Europe, the Exynos isn’t an option for me.

Anonymous, 46 minutes ago“The phone is running Android 12 and is unlikely to see Android 15.” Motorola mentioned… moreNot to mention an odd comparison to the De S22 Ultra.

The S22 Ultra 128/8 starts at €1059 here, Motorola Edge 30 Ultra 256/12 at €879 here.

And while I would have chosen Samsung for the software alone, the truth is that in the EU you get the bad Exynos too.

“The phone is running Android 12 and is unlikely to see Android 15.”

Motorola mentioned that the phone will get Android 15 (3 updates starting with 12 make the last 15) and 4 years of total updates (every 2 months)

Kinda silly for conducting a poll and spreading misinformation.

You actually get low Bayer resolution and great contrast in sensor size, useless 2x and no 3x and beyond too, can you look forward to shooting?
I use an S21U and would not like it even if they paid me. 3x and 10x are very useful.
Didn’t they ask users for their opinions? They can even ask me. 48MP 5x will make it a pioneer, 10x and beyond is the next thing, now that’s what…

I am not interested in buying a high-end phone of any brand without a headphone jack and micro sd slot, filling some pockets does not justify the manufacturers removing them

Dr

Edge neo & edge should be named Moto M.
The rest are like Moto X.

Simple but reasonable poll this time 👍

Ballot pattern makes it look fake. In other polls you have more options than just yes and no.
Plus, the way the polls are worded is also disappointing.
Gsmarena, please be fair. Or do not conduct polls.

I think the mismarketing by Motorola to use the Edge 30 name is common to all phones from flagships to mid-rangers.

Regardless, I voted “not for me” in all categories, because I have an LG G8x and can’t see any other phone that beats it in sound quality, and an overall polished experience.
Plus, this walnut engineering wonder doesn’t even have a microSD and 3.5mm jack. So, even in my dreams, I’m the really smart customer.

But for others, I think Edge 30 Ultra and Fusion would be great options. Due to the presence of Snapdragon 695, Edge 30 Neo is not recommended, but those who need a small and lightweight phone may consider.

GeeX, 3 hours agoyes neo actually who doesn’t like a good small medium camera…i wish it had a 3.5mm jack..Cool, we know you want a 3.5mm jack

Edge 30 Ultra sale hasn’t been released/confirmed here but some distributors are selling the X30 Pro and for the price ($670), it’s really worth it… But when you compare it to its official price, you’d better go for the other flagships (except OP 10 Pro)
